ഏഷ്യൻ ഗെയിംസിൽ മലയാളിക്ക് ചരിത്ര മെഡൽ. ഷൂട്ടിംഗിൽ വിദർശ കെ വിനോദ് വെള്ളി മെഡൽ നേടി. ഏഷ്യൻ ഗെയിംസിൽ ഷൂട്ടിംഗ് മെഡൽ നേടുന്ന ആദ്യ മലയാളിയായിരിക്കുകയാണ് വിദർശ. 10 മീറ്റർ എയർ റൈഫിൾ ടീം ഇനത്തിലാണ് വിദർശയ്ക്ക് മെഡൽ ലഭിച്ചത്. കോഴിക്കോട് തിരുവമ്പാടി സ്വദേശി ആണ് വിദർശ.

വിദർശ അടക്കം മൂന്ന് പേരടങ്ങുന്ന ടീമാണ് മെഡൽ നേടിയത്. വിദർശയുടെ ആദ്യത്തെ ഏഷ്യൻ ഗെയിംസാണിത്. ആദ്യമായി പങ്കെടുത്ത ഏഷ്യൻ ഗെയിംസിൽ തന്നെ മെഡൽ ലഭിച്ചതിൽ ഒരുപാടു സന്തോഷമുണ്ടെന്ന് വിദർശ പറഞ്ഞു. കുടുംബത്തിന്‍റെയും കോച്ചിന്‍റെയുമെല്ലാം പിന്തുണയോടെയാണ് ഇവിടെ വരെ എത്താൻ കഴിഞ്ഞതെന്ന് വിദർശ പറഞ്ഞു.

50 മീറ്റർ റൈഫിൾ ഇനത്തിലും വിദർശ മത്സരിക്കുന്നുണ്ട്. ഇന്നത്തെ മെഡൽ വലിയ ആത്മവിശ്വാസം നൽകുന്നുണ്ടെന്ന് വിദർശ പറഞ്ഞു. കേരളത്തിൽ തുടരാൻ ആഗ്രഹമുണ്ടെന്നും കേരളം ജോലി നൽകിയാൽ സ്വീകരിക്കുമെന്നും വിദർശ പറഞ്ഞു.

2018ൽ എൻ സി സി യിലൂടെയാണ് ഷൂട്ടിംഗിലേക്ക് വന്നതെന്ന് വിദർശ പറഞ്ഞു. 2019ൽ ഇത് പ്രൊഫഷനായി തീരുമാനിച്ചു. ഡൽഹിയിലാണ് പ്രധാനമായും ട്രെയിനിങ് നടക്കുന്നത്. കേരളത്തിൽ വട്ടിയൂർക്കാവ് ഷൂട്ടിംഗ് റെയ്ഞ്ചിൽ പ്രാക്ടീസ് ചെയ്യാൻ സൌകര്യമുണ്ട്. എല്ലാ ജില്ലകളിലും അസോസിയേഷനുകളുണ്ടെന്നും മെമ്പർഷിപ്പ് എടുത്ത് പ്രാക്ടീസ് ചെയ്യാവുന്നതാണെന്നും വിദർശ പറഞ്ഞഞ്ഞു
